BABY BUMP!

It's week 26 and I have yet to post a true baby bump picture, so I took one special for this occasion. I'm sufficiently awkward and weirded out that Josh is taking a profile shot, so enjoy it. I also have to admit that I don't really look that pregnant in my normal everyday clothes. Something about the garment band across the middle of my belly significantly decreases the cute bumpness of pregnancy and makes it feel more like I'm just storing a lot of fat in my belly. Is this supposed to change? And can someone tell me why the third trimester is just so terrible?

Also, I found out that December 29th is the latest/earliest day the baby will come (aka I'll get induced) if he doesn't come naturally before then. I'm channeling my positive thoughts and energy into an early arrival.

New pregnancy things as of late:
  • Increased urination. It's starting back up again and I don't like it very much.
  • Breathing problems?! I all of the sudden at night am having a hard time breathing. Is this normal?
  • I've officially "popped" and I can't wear any normal pants anymore, so it's all maternity and stretchy waistbands for me. I love it.
  • Nesting....I think it's come. I am cleaning more now and I'm worried about getting things in their places and unpacking and organizing. I can't tell if this is my attempt at getting out of school work or if it's the nesting phase kicking in.
  • I can eat vegetables! I'm full on eating like a normal healthy person now, except that I still don't enjoy making salads.
  • Mood swings - I get annoyed really easily. I'm so sorry, husband. But I also get in really nurturing moods where I make batches of cookies and lasagna!
So that's all I can think of. I know there are a billion more things...but oh well. I think the weirdest trait of all is that I have this intense desire to CRAFT. I just want to make things! And I can't wait for Halloween decorating which will start on the first day of Fall.

Cheers!

  1. Kendall, that's an awesome baby bump you've got! I'm jealous of how you've "popped"... I still look over-full. :)

I'm with you on more trips to the bathroom and it being harder to breathe (I feel like a fat kid after I climb the stairs to our apartment!), but am still holding out for the normal person food. Here's hoping!

Thanks for sharing this update. Glad you're doing so well. :)

  2. I could never breath the last couple of months. It's the worse. I thought the first trimester was the worst, not the third, but I threw up lots.

And I crafted my diaper bag when I was 8 months pregnant because I wanted to craft like crazy! And you are absolutely the cutest with your belly!! I love you!
